ROKINS Unmanned Chicken Robot Store: From “ROKENS” to ROKINS and Smart Frying Oil Monitoring

 


The brand of Jkors Robotech’s unmanned chicken robot store is ROKINS.

But we recently had a small and rather funny incident during the store design process.

Our designer accidentally printed the brand name as “ROKENS” instead of “ROKINS.”

Since the store is still under development and construction, these things happen.

For now, we are using AI to correct ROKENS → ROKINS before taking the actual store photos.

But there is something else in the photo that is worth taking a closer look at.

It is the Frying Oil Status Traffic Light at the entrance.




Making Frying Oil Status Easy to Understand

Frying oil management is an important part of operating a chicken restaurant.

In an unmanned environment, relying only on an employee’s experience or visual judgment is not enough.

ROKINS is developing a system that monitors frying oil conditions using data and presents the result through a simple traffic-light system.

Instead of requiring operators to interpret complicated numbers every time, the system provides an intuitive visual indication of the current frying oil condition.

This approach can help make frying oil management easier and support more consistent frying quality in an unmanned chicken restaurant.




A Robot Arm Alone Does Not Create an Automated Restaurant

As we continue developing ROKINS, one thing becomes increasingly clear:

A truly unmanned kitchen cannot be built with a single technology.

The robot arm is only one part of the system.

The entire workflow needs to be connected, including:

  • Ingredient storage and supply
  • Robotic frying
  • Frying oil condition monitoring
  • Post-frying basket handling
  • Cooked food handling
  • Movement and coordination between each process

That is why we are developing ROKINS by identifying real problems that occur in an actual kitchen and solving them one by one.

The ROKINS Basket Loading System, currently under development, is another example of this process.

And there are still more challenges ahead.

Our goal is not simply to install a robot arm.

We are working toward building a real unmanned chicken restaurant system that can operate as an integrated kitchen workflow.

We will continue to share the development process.

In our next update, we will show how the ROKINS robot arm performs the frying process and how the frying basket is handled after cooking.
